Day 3 English Oral

This is a scene of a beach. There are many people relaxing at the beach. Hence, this shows that it is probably a public holiday or the weekends since people are usually free on those days to take time off their hectic schedules to relax and spend time with their families. In the foreground, 6 children, with a woman, are building sand castles. The 6 children are probably cousins and the woman is probably the mother of one of the children. She is probably there to assist the children in building the sand castles and ensure the safety of the children. The smiles on their faces tells me that they are having a wonderful time at the beach and are enjoying the company of one another. The woman is wearing a hat and 2 children are squinting. This proves that it was a sunny day. And a sunny day would be the best kind of weather for a day at the beach. Behind them, there is another group of children building sand castles. This shows that people enjoy building sand castles and hence there should be an event organised at the beach to build the most outstanding sand castles. This would allow families and friends to take part, improving the relationships between them. At the top right hand of the picture, a woman is covering a man with sand. This is also one of the activities people like to do when at the beach. At the top of the picture, a group of people are sitting under a tree. They are probably relaxing and enjoying the cool breeze of the sea while chatting with each other.

2. I believe that children should take part in more outdoor activities. This allows the children have a more healthy and active lifestyle so that they would not fall sick easily and hence would be able to concentrate on their studies. If the children take part in outdoor activities such as engaging in outdoor sports like football or swimming, it may even spark their interest in sports so when they grow older, they would engage in exercise to keep them healthy. By taking part in group activities such as football, it allows the children to improve their social skills too.
I think many children enjoy computer games because one is not able to experience the virtual world in real life. In the virtual world, they would be free to do anything they want. They probably do not have that freedom in the real world. I feel that some of these games have violent content. This might cause the children to pick up these violence from the games and use the violence in the new world. Also since the games are computer games, it would spoil the eyesight of the children after long hours of staring at the computer screen. Some games are also addictive. That would cause the children to spend a long time in front of their computer, neglecting their studies.
